B&D operates under our Environmental Health and Safety Program to ensure the safety of our employees and our Quality Assurance Program to provide us with a business management system that drives consistency and repeatability in the way we manage work. B&D has the qualifications and experience to work in secured facilities. We maintain an approved facility clearance through the Department of Energy (DOE)/National Nuclear Security Administration. This allows B&D to perform work at any DOE, Department of Defense and Nuclear Regulatory Commission cleared facility. B&D has an active classified contract at Sandia National Laboratories, Los Alamos National Laboratory and the URENCO USA uranium enrichment facility. We hold 75 personnel clearances, including DOE Q, DOE L and NRC L.
B&D has been involved in cutting edge projects to include serving as the electrical service provider for the first Vertical Laminar Flow Cleanroom, Fab Facility upgrades from 200mm to 300mm wafers, the first Solar Thermal Test Facility (central receiver concept with heliostats) and the first large-scale commercial nuclear fuel enrichment plant in the United States, as well as numerous high performance computer systems.
